Master in Education, specialisation in Adult Education ofthe Institute of Education and Psychology of the University of Minho, she also holds a Degree in International Relations, major in Cultural and Political International Relations of the University of Minho. She co-ordinates, on an executive basis, the research activities of the Unit for Adult Education. She has experience as a trainer within the Unit as well as being guest teacher at the Institute of Child Studies at the University of Minho. She is a researcher at the Education Research Centre of the Institute of Education and Psychology at the University of Minho, in the Lifelong Education and Community Development institutional project.
